Ritu Chattree
Ritu Chattree is Vice President of Finance & Development for Grameen America. Previously, Ms. Chattree Ms. Chattree has worked in both finance and not-for-profit. Previously, she was the Vice President of Development for the New York Academy of Sciences and the Deputy Director of Development and Outreach for Human Rights Watch, a leading human rights NGO.
Ms. Chattree has spent the majority of her career in finance specializing in international investment banking and private equity. She has worked throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia where she led the creation of new business groups and new business development. During her career she has worked for the firms of J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns focusing on mergers and acquisitions, direct equity investments and joint ventures.
Ms. Chattree completed her MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France with a concentration in corporate finance and accounting. She holds a BSFS in International Economics from the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. Originally from India, Ms. Chattree speaks fluent Hindi as well as French.
