Nadine B. Hack

Nadine B. Hack is recognized internationally for her proven expertise in strategic planning, creative problem solving, insightful policy analysis, and politically sensitive negotiations, she has provided innovative guidance to and created crucial partnerships for institutions from multiple sectors and has imparted tactical direction for their various campaigns, collaborations, and special initiatives throughout the world for over three decades.

Ms. Hack has extensive experience with the United Nations, where she served as New York City Commissioner for the UN, Consular Corps, and International Business, the city's senior official liaison with the world's largest diplomatic and business communities. She has advised two UN Secretaries-General, various departments of the Secretariat, and many specialized UN agencies, as well as heads of state and senior government officials, including President Corazon Aquino of the Philippines and President Nelson Mandela of South Africa. She also has an extensive track record of success working with various corporations and organizations.

Ms. Hack has brought vital leadership to scores of campaigns linking private resources with public needs to promote the advancement of women, children, minorities, health, human rights, civil liberties, economic development, the environment, and peace. She has served on official delegations and fact-finding missions in many countries. She is a professor teaching courses she designed at NYU's Wagner Graduate School of Public Affairs and at SNHU's Graduate School of Community Economic Development. She's been a keynote speaker at myriad conferences, universities and other institutions. Ms. Hack has had numerous articles written about or published by her in various publications, including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, USA Today, UN Chronicle and The New York Observer. Television, radio and internet interviews include NPR, FOX, MNN, Good News Broadcast, UN Radio and TV, and she is listed on SheSource.org, an online database of distinguished women who are experts in their fields.

Her board memberships include the Desmond Tutu Peace Foundation (Chair through 2005), Africa-America Institute (Vice Chair), Synergos Institute (Executive Committee); advisory boards include Amnesty International USA, New School Global Initiatives and the World Policy Institute. Awards include NYWA Star, International Outstanding Achievement, New American Leader, Woman of the Year, Distinguished Women of New York and SAAO Leadership. She has Master Degrees from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the Graduate Faculty of Political Science and Social Science at The New School.
