Due to overwhelming interest and demand, UNA-NYC is launching a four-part series on Careers with the United Nations. In this series we will explore and expand on our regular UN Careers briefings.

The United Nations Job Landscape

Attendees will gain exclusive access to information and insider tips about how to navigate and apply for jobs within the United Nations, UN peacekeeping and UN Volunteers. Launch your UN career by learning how to apply to the Young Professionals Programme (YPP) or becoming a Junior Professional Officer (JPO).

We will introduce you to the world of UN associated NGOs (non-governmental organizations) focused on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and other available opportunities. You will learn where to apply for UN jobs, competencies and skills needed, how to write your application, cover letters, the selection process and much more valuable information including examples of actual application do’s and don’ts. The series closes with a panel of young professionals currently working at the United Nations who will discuss how they got their jobs and what is it like to work in their different fields.

Each session will include time for questions to the panelists.

Note: this series is exclusive to UNA members only. The registration fee is $30 for the entire series. To find out more about becoming a member of UNA-NYC, please visit our membership page.
