2023 UN Day Race

2023 UN Day Race

Run, bike, or walk with us — as we celebrate the 78th anniversary of the United Nations (October 24th is UN Day) — and recognize its tireless efforts to create a world in which everyone thrives in peace, dignity, and equality on a healthy planet. This year’s theme will be Gender Equality.

The event is both virtual and in-person, which means you may complete it at any time before October 21st, anywhere in the world, or you can meet in person on October 21st at 11AM in Central Park. You can either run, walk, or bike, and choose between two distances: 5K and 10K.

Don’t forget to share a photo of yourself on social media completing the race, using the hashtags #UNDay, #USAforUN, and #UNDayRace!

Complete your run virtually anytime before October 21, 2023. The in-person event will take place on October 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Central Park, meeting at the Engineers' Gate entrance and utilizing the reservoir loop.

Register for the UN Day race here!

All registrants will receive a custom UN Day 5K/10K Medal.* The event is sponsored by the United Nations Association of New York and the remaining proceeds will go to supporting their work and mission. Please visit unanyc.org for more information about UNA-NYC and the many events they host yearly!

In addition to a custom medal, you have the option to purchase a unique UN Day 2023 Race t-shirt during registration. This will be the only option to get this one-of-a-kind shirt, so don't forget to select your size when registering!

DISCOUNT SPECIAL: Become a member of UNA-NYC today to receive a code for $5 off the race! Anyone can join! If you’re not a member yet, sign up here first and then forward your confirmation email to UNDayRace@gmail.com to receive your code. P.S. — Membership is FREE if you are 25 years old or younger!

(Please be advised, medals and t-shirts (if applicable) will ship no later than 2 weeks after registration closes)

We are excited that the PRunners, a group of ambassadors and senior UN staff united by their love of running, will once again join our virtual event.

So what are you waiting for? Sign up now for our virtual race — and join the many people celebrating the founding of the United Nations and its collective action to realize peace, development, and human rights for all!

Don’t forget to share a photo of yourself on social media completing the race, using the hashtags: #UNDay, #UNANYC, and #UNDayRace! We would love to hear from you!
