Summer UN Garden Tour and Lunch

We are pleased to announce a special treat in the early New York summertime — a tour of the United Nations garden, preceded by a lunch, in our first post-Covid, in-person outing. This event will take place on July 12, with lunch at Copinette from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m., followed by the UN Garden Tour at 3:15 p.m. (rain or shine).

The United Nations Garden Tour

Come with us and take a stroll around the UN Garden, with its exceptional rose collection and iconic cherry trees… learn about the story behind the “George and the Dragon” statue… see an actual segment of the Berlin Wall… and discover a “hidden gem” — honoring one of the most important women in the history of the United Nations, Eleanor Roosevelt.

Pre-Tour Lunch at Copinette

Before the tour we will have a lunch at noon at Copinette, located nearby at the corner of 50th Street and First Avenue. There will be a three-course, pre-fixe lunch offering at $60 including tax and tip (beverage/wine is extra and paid by guests).

We are offering three options for this outing:

• UN Garden Tour only | $25
• Lunch only | $60
• Lunch and UN Garden Tour | $85

We hope you’ll enjoy this opportunity to meet up with other members of our NYC Chapter, and even make some new friends! Non-members are welcome, so feel free to invite a guest along… and explore another fascinating side of the United Nations.

NOTE: By end of week Friday, July 8, we will send all registrants instructions on where and when we will meet up, for both lunch and tour-only participants.

ALSO: Registration for this event is now closed, earlier than announced, due to reaching our limit for the tour and lunch.
