Justine LaVoye, MPA currently works as the Senior Associate of External Affairs for the National team with Cradles to Crayons, an organization that provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive. She has extensive experience in leading preventative health projects and campaigns across the world, serving as a health specialist with the Peace Corps (Nicaragua 2015-2017), United Nations, and various international grassroots organizations. Justine was selected as a 2018 UNA-NY Summer Scholar Fellow where she supported the UNFPA Egypt Country office’s Adolescent/Youth Peace & Security team. There, she developed national programs to end gender-based violence and harmful practices and programs promoting youth inclusion and economic opportunities across Egypt. In May of 2019, she created and launched a national social impact campaign on the maternal mortality crisis in the United States with partners at MTV, Every Mother Counts, and The Black Mamas Matter Alliance titled “Save Our Moms.” She received her Master of Public Administration at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), specializing in Gender, Public Policy and Management. She completed her bachelor's degree in Global Health Sciences at Boston University’s Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
