UNA-NYC Sponsors Resolutions on Darfur and Human Trafficking at 2009 UNA-USA Biennial National Convention

Our chapter sponsored two resolutions at the 2009 UNA-USA Biennial National Convention in Washington DC — one on Human Trafficking and the other on Darfur. Both of these resolutions were adopted at the convention, which took place on June 12-14.

The Advocacy Committee of UNA-NYC — comprised of Joan Levy, Dick Romney, Sharlene Ratcliff-Korenica and Sherrie Murphy — worked on the text of these resolutions, and they were presented by our president John Sweeney and committee member Sharlene Ratcliff-Korenica.
