2026 UN Day Race
Run, bike, or walk with us, as we celebrate the 81st anniversary of the United Nations (October 24th is UN Day), and recognize its tireless efforts to create a world in which everyone thrives in peace, dignity, and equality on a healthy planet.
This year's theme is Good Health and Well-Being, UN Sustainable Development Goal 3. Every step you take is a step toward a healthier world. Join us in Central Park or from wherever you are on the planet to move for a cause that belongs to all of us.
The event is both virtual and in-person, which means you may complete your run virtually anytime before October 24th, anywhere in the world — or you can meet in person on October 24th at 11AM. Meetup Location: the Central Park meetup is located at the park entrance at the corner of E. 60th Street and 5th Avenue. You can either run, walk, or bike, and choose between two distances: 5K and 10K.
Proceeds Support UNA-NYC Programs
All proceeds from the 2026 UN Day Run will go toward Summer Scholars and Worldview, two flagship UNA-NYC programs that educate and inspire the next generation of global citizens. Please visit www.unanyc.org for more information about UNA-NYC and the many events we host each year.
The PRunners
We are proud that the PRunners, a group of ambassadors and senior UN staff united by their love of running, will once again join our run.

◼︎ BECOME A SPONSOR | 2026 UN DAY RACE
We are welcoming corporate sponsors for the 2026 UN Day Race. Align your brand with the United Nations, the Sustainable Development Goals, and a growing community of runners and global citizens in Central Park. Proceeds support two UNA-NYC programs: the Summer Scholars fellowship, which sends graduate students to work with UN agencies abroad, and the Worldview Institute, a professional seminar series on global affairs now in its second decade.
◼︎ Prefer to contribute product instead of cash? We welcome in-kind partners, hydration, gear, or race-day items, for runner swag bags.
◼︎ Sponsorship this year is being confirmed on a rolling basis ahead of race day. To discuss a level or ask a question, contact the Race Director Sheryl Alemany at UNDayRace@gmail.com or Ann Nicol, Executive Director, United Nations Association of New York: info@unanyc.org
